Cabin Max Metz 30l cabin backpack review

May 14, 2026

For the last few years, the bag I’ve taken as my underseat bag on the likes of Ryanair and easyJet is one I bought from the middle of Lidl. It’s about 30l and it’s made of nylon, so the bag itself is taking up almost zero of the very limited weight or size allowance. But … More Cabin Max Metz 30l cabin backpack review

📌 Málaga 📌 Málaga Here’s a school trip I’ve never really mined, because I don’t remember enough details and I haven’t yet uncovered a diary. But this is Spain somewhere around June 2001. We drove all the way from the UK to Cordoba, slept one night on the coach (I think) and another at a hotel near Barcelona after breaking down on the France-Spain border. And that's it for my little adventure to the West Bohemian Spa Triangle. Three towns, plus a bonus day-and-a-bit in Prague, six trains, three pools (plus some fairly indifferent hotel pools), a lot of spring water, more selfies than I realised, an average of 3.5 miles of walking each day and I think I've finished up on nine blog posts. When my guidebook said Prague is a city of many architectural styles, it wasn’t wrong. The Mordor-esque towers round every corner were the first to catch my attention but second was this grey and yellow double act and then I began to notice all sorts of stuff. Of course, the Dancing House is so well-known its become a tourist attraction in its own right and for someone who likes a bit of Gothic and a bit of Art Deco, I found myself spotting and enjoying Art Nouveau, mostly in greens and golds. And of course there’s the more traditional. There’s something to look at round every corner. 📌 Charles Bridge, Prague 📌 St Vitus Cathedral, Prague Well, this is the most terrifying book update I’ve ever done! I didn’t take pictures of all the springs in Karlovy Vary but here’s a sample - the really hot ones, the fun ones, the ones thick with orange mineral deposits and my personal favourite, the one you can bathe in.

About Julie

I'm a blogger, adventurer, lover of hot water, amateur paddler and polar bear who wilts in hot weather. Time (by day, I'm a researcher) and funds keep me within Europe and I make regular trips up to the north, especially to Iceland. I like the occasional adventure across Europe by train and I'm starting to make use of my weekends for 48-hour adventures. This isn't my only creative outlet - I've written two travelogues (one on a winter adventure across the Arctic Circle and one on exploring volcanoes during a warm summer road trip around Iceland) plus a little book of Icelandic pools and I have a fourth book in progress right now.
