New video: Tbilisi sulphur baths

It’s the Tbilisi sulphur baths video! At last!

Well, this has been a long time coming! I went to Tbilisi in January – end of January, last couple of days plus the first couple of days of February and it’s ridiculous that we’re nearly two-thirds of the way through October and I only finished this video last thing last night. I’ve also given the entire series new titles and new cover pictures, so if you want to go back and watch it all, the link to the playlist is right here.

Right. Tbilisi’s famous sulphur baths. The hot river is the reason the city was founded here, back in the fifth century, and Tbilisi ran with it, opening several hundred bathhouses at their peak and crediting them with being the reason Tbilisi, despite being on the Silk Road and having thousands of travellers passing through, has never had a major plague outbreak. I love hot water so naturally, the very first thing I planned was a sulphur bath and in the end, I went to three of them.

So come along and take a look at the smallest 1-2 person rooms in Chreli Abano, the Royal Bathhouse and Bathhouse No. 5.
