New video: First impressions of Tbilisi

Well, it’s been a long time coming but the video series on my trip to Georgia earlier in the year has finally actually reached Georgia! This Tbilisi video isn’t the one I’d hoped to make but the new mics are really crackly so although I didn’t talk to the camera a lot, pretty much everything I did film has turned out unusable. I actually didn’t have a lot of time in Tbilisi – I was there Monday evening until Monday morning but I was out of town all of Thursday & Friday and I spent Saturday & Sunday locked up in the hotel for the conference so I only really had Tuesday & Wednesday and a couple of evenings. I used some chunks of that limited time in the sulphur baths and that’s going to be a separate video.

So this isn’t the vlog I hoped it would be and maybe I’ll come back one day and re-edit it into something more pleasing but for now, I’m quite excited just to finally have a Tbilisi video done. It starts with the Chronicle of Georgia, goes off to the Narikala cable car, the Old Town, an evening trip up to Mtatsminda, a night-time cable car trip and finishes with my early-morning last-day wander down to the Peace Bridge.

And here it is!
